Sentry Natural Defense Flea & Tick Spray - Dogs
Certain plants have developed highly effective defense mechanisms against potentially harmful insects and SENTRY has harnessed the power of these natural botanical extracts to produce a line of flea, tick and mosquito control products that feature natural active ingredients such as peppermint oil, cinnamon oil, lemon grass oil and thyme oil. The exclusive formulations that feature these ingredients are harmless to most mammals, birds and fish -- but they're deadly to biting pests. This means SENTRY Natural Defense products are highly effective, yet they're safe for use around your dogs and your family when used as directed. Spray kills adult fleas and ticks, while providing a fresh botanical fragrance.
How it Works:
Invertebrates such as fleas, ticks and mosquitoes produce a neurotransmitter called octopamine. Octopamine regulates insects’ heart rate and metabolism. The natural active ingredients in Sentry Natural Defense block octopamine – causing a breakdown of the central nervous system – killing insects almost instantaneously.
CAUTION: Do not use on dogs less than 12 weeks of age. For external use only. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON CATS! Cats cannot tolerate essential oils.
DIRECTIONS:
Lightly spray your pet with the nozzle about 8" to 12" from the pet. Start spraying the animal at the tail, making sure to spray the entire coat of the animal, including legs, tail and underbody. With your hand, fluff the hair against the way it normally lays to assure that the spray penetrates the coat to the skin. Do not saturate the animal and do not spray in the face, eyes, or genitals. Repeat as necessary. Pets may be treated indoors or outdoors. To maintain best protection against fleas and ticks, use this product year around.
